Frank Houston Joins BlueGreen Alliance to Lead Michigan Work
The BlueGreen Alliance today announced that Frank Houston has joined the organization as regional program manager for Michigan. Houston’s work will focus on keeping up the innovation and job growth spurred by fuel economy standards in the auto industry, policies that promote clean energy and energy efficiency, workers’ rights and safe jobs, repairing Michigan’s infrastructure, and other priorities.
Houston has experience on a wide array of public policies issues over more than 20 years, including promoting workers’ rights, encouraging clean energy and energy efficiency, and expanding access to quality, affordable health care.
“Frank brings a breadth of experience to the organization, and we’re thrilled to bring him aboard to lead the charge on our work in Michigan,” said BlueGreen Alliance Executive Director Kim Glas. “Frank’s work will focus on keeping up the innovation and job growth spurred by fuel economy standards in the auto industry, policies that promote clean energy and energy efficiency, workers’ rights and safe jobs, repairing Michigan’s infrastructure, and other priorities.”
“I’m excited to join the BlueGreen Alliance and look forward to doing great work promoting jobs in the clean economy, protecting workers’ rights and safety, shoring up our infrastructure systems, and ensuring that we build an economy that works for the people of Michigan,” said Houston. “This coalition of labor union members and environmentalists is extremely vital right now to the future of Michigan and our country.”
Houston lives in Royal Oak with his wife Danielle Atkinson and children.
