DETROIT, MI (November 21, 2011) As Governor Rick Snyder decides whether or not he will veto a bill that prevents state agencies from having stricter rules than the federal government passed by the Legislature, the BlueGreen Alliance released the following statement from Jobs21! Co-Chair Mark Schauer:

“Governor Snyder should make this bill his first veto. Michigan is surrounded by the Great Lakes, they are our greatest natural resources and an important economic and environmental asset to our state. We should not hamper state efforts to protect them.

“As Michiganders, we are all stewards of these Great Lakes. We hope that Governor Snyder will join us in opposing this bill and show the state he is committed to protecting these vital natural and economic resources.”
