Letter to EPA Urges Agency Leaders to Debunk Proposals from Chemistry Industry That Undermine Worker Safety
A letter jointly written by the AFL-CIO, the Environmental Defense Fund, the United Steelworkers, and the BlueGreen Alliance and signed by 20 organizations and 35 individuals urged Dr. Michal Ilana Freedhoff, Assistant Administrator of the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to “reject proposals from the chemical industry that would undermine workplace safety by skewing measurement data, misinterpreting OSHA requirements, and relying on voluntary measures.”
