Climate Grants from EPA Offer Huge Opportunity for Workers, Communities
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency today announced $4.3 billion in funding from the Inflation Reduction Act’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CRPG) program. The 25 selected applications announced by the EPA include 13 states, 11 local municipalities, and one Tribal government.
Earlier this year, the BlueGreen Alliance released a User Guide focused on helping potential CRPG applicants ensure their projects deliver real benefits to workers and communities. Following the announcement, the BlueGreen Alliance released a statement from Vice President of Federal Affairs Katie Harris:
“The CRPG program is a huge opportunity for communities to get projects done that will reduce emissions and create good-paying union jobs for workers. These investments made by the Biden-Harris administration and Democrats are having far-reaching impacts in our country and put us on a path for a clean, prosperous, and equitable future for all.”
