BlueGreen Alliance Regional Field Organizer Dan Taylor submitted testimony to the Maryland General Assembly Education, Energy, and the Environment Committee in support of the Promoting Offshore Wind Energy Resources (POWER) Act. If passed, the POWER Act would increase Maryland’s offshore wind (OSW) goals to 8.5 gigawatts by 2031; establish high-road labor standards across OSW manufacturing, installation, and maintenance; initiate a state process to coordinate transmission infrastructure; and prioritize in-state manufacturing.
