September 3, 2024

Following Labor Day, the BlueGreen Alliance, a national partnership of labor unions and environmental organizations, announced today that the organization has endorsed Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) for reelection to the U.S. Senate from the State of Nevada.

“The BlueGreen Alliance is proud to endorse Senator Jacky Rosen for reelection to the U.S. Senate,” said BlueGreen Alliance Executive Director Jason Walsh. “Our organization is founded on the belief that we don’t have to choose between good jobs and a clean environment; we can and must have both. Senator Rosen is a champion for fighting climate change, protecting the health of people and the environment, and creating good-paying union jobs and she is the best choice in the race for U.S. Senate from Nevada. We are excited to work alongside Senator Rosen in this election and beyond. We need her leadership in the Senate, and we ask Nevadans to support her for another term.”

“Throughout my time in the Senate, I’ve consistently fought to tackle the climate crisis while growing our clean energy economy and creating union jobs,” said Senator Rosen. “Together, we’ve passed historic legislation to rebuild our infrastructure and invest in renewable energy that is improving our quality of life and protecting our environment while creating good-paying jobs in Nevada and throughout the country. I’m proud to have BlueGreen Alliance’s support in my reelection campaign as we continue this important work.”

The endorsement is a recognition of the leadership of Senator Rosen’s commitment to creating good-paying union jobs, fighting economic and racial injustice, and reducing the emissions driving climate change. Senator Rosen voted for several key priorities demonstrating her legislative record supporting workers and a clean environment.

According to the White House, in Nevada, Rosen-backed federal legislation has:

  • Helped create 286,600 jobs;
  • Spurred 221,900 applications for new businesses
  • Incentivized $10 billion in private sector manufacturing and clean energy investments; and
  • Invested $3 billion for high-speed rail.
