Benefits of Inflation Reduction Act Already Being Seen One Year In
One year ago today, President Joe Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law, putting the nation on a path to clean up the nation’s air and water and reduce greenhouse gas emissions up to 42% by 2030. Over the last year, the law has already begun to revitalize U.S. manufacturing, grow clean energy, and support and create good union jobs across the country.
In response to the anniversary, the BlueGreen Alliance released the following statement from Vice President of Legislation and Federal Affairs Jessica Eckdish:
“We celebrated a year ago when the Inflation Reduction Act was signed into law and we’ve celebrated each new announcement of good jobs being created, clean energy projects being built, and steps being taken to ensure that these investments will protect the environment and people’s health. The passage of the Inflation Reduction Act was a historic feat, but this work is not done. We are excited to continue working with the administration and state and local governments to ensure that the clean economy we are building works for working people.”
