Ben Davis is a Senior Federal Policy Advisor with the BlueGreen Alliance, where he handles carbon management policy development and advocacy efforts, and works on implementation of carbon reduction technologies in the industrial sector.
Ben comes to the BlueGreen Alliance from Oceana’s climate and energy team, where he coordinated advocacy efforts and partnered with small businesses, local stakeholders, and other allies in support of ocean protections from the expansion of offshore oil drilling. Before that, Ben worked with Environmental Protection Network to advocate against the Trump administration’s rollbacks of environmental and health protections at the EPA. He has also been an organizer for the Democratic Party of Virginia in Portsmouth, Virginia and has worked at Democracy Partners to plan issue-based grassroots advocacy campaigns across the country.
Amid his years in school, Ben organized climate action on campus and he co-founded of Blue Future, a youth-led organization focused on equipping young people with the skills needed to organize and campaign in their communities.
Ben graduated from American University in Washington, D.C. with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Justice Systems.
