Abby (she/they) is the Senior State Policy Organizer for Minnesota at the BlueGreen Alliance. Originally from the Chicagoland area, she spent many summers paddling on the land of 10,000 lakes, traditionally known as Mni Sota Macoke, the Dakota name meaning the land where the water reflects the sky. They have been an advocate and organizer since the age of 16, having always been interested in the social intersections of climate change related issues. She has volunteered and held leadership in various organizations like the Sunrise Movement Twin Cities Hub, and working on various issue advocacy campaigns. Previously to joining BGA, Abby was a GreenCorps member serving with the Great Plains Institute and Clean Energy Resource Teams, expanding electric vehicle adoption and charging infrastructure in Minnesota and conducting outreach to energy burdened communities. In her free time, Abby enjoys being part of mutual aid networks in the Twin Cities, listening to music, biking, and making pottery. She is excited to combine her passion for organizing, relationship building, and building a clean energy economy.
Abby holds a B.S. in Environmental Science, Policy and Management with a minor in Sustainability Studies from the University of Minnesota.
