The BlueGreen Alliance (BGA) enthusiastically endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz for vice president today. The group highlighted the accomplishments of the Biden-Harris administration, including acting to repair and modernize the nation’s infrastructure; making a historic investment in America to rebuild and retool our manufacturing sector; and leading the fight to tackle the climate crisis and put us on a pathway to net-zero emissions by 2050. They also cited Harris’ support for unions and her efforts to stand by workers who are fighting for a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Following the endorsement, the BlueGreen Alliance released a statement from Executive Director Jason Walsh:

“The Biden-Harris administration has been the most pro-worker, pro-climate action administration we’ve ever had. We enthusiastically supported Vice President Kamala Harris twice before in our endorsements. She is ready to lead our nation to a clean, prosperous, and equitable future for all. And, having worked with him in Minnesota for years to grow clean energy, spur manufacturing jobs, and on numerous other issues, we also support the selection of Tim Walz as the nominee for vice president.

“The choice is simple. Former President Trump has promised to make our country a dictatorship and eliminate the investments growing manufacturing and jobs in communities across the country. He failed every level during his four years as president, and we cannot allow him to return to the highest office in the land. Meanwhile, the Biden-Harris administration has invested in workers, climate action, and the future. 

“Kamala Harris and Tim Walz have earned our endorsement.”
