The BlueGreen Alliance, a national partnership of labor unions and environmental organizations, today announced the organization has endorsed Greg Stanton for the Fourth Congressional District in Arizona.

The endorsement is a recognition of the leadership of Rep. Stanton to create good-paying union jobs, fight economic and racial injustice, and reduce the emissions driving climate change. Stanton voted for several key priorities, including the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

“The BlueGreen Alliance is proud to endorse Rep. Stanton for Congress,” said BlueGreen Alliance Executive Director Jason Walsh. “Our organization is founded on the belief that we don’t have to choose between good jobs and a clean environment; we can and must have both. Rep. Stanton is a champion for building a clean, prosperous, and equitable future and is the best choice in the race for the Fourth Congressional District in Arizona.”

“We are excited to work alongside Rep. Stanton in this election and beyond,” said Walsh.

This is the first year that the BlueGreen Alliance is endorsing candidates for Congress. Previously, the organization endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for President and Vice President of the United States in 2020—the first such endorsement in the organization’s history.
