BlueGreen Alliance Endorses Dan Kildee
The BlueGreen Alliance, a national partnership of labor unions and environmental organizations, today announced the organization has endorsed Dan Kildee for the Eighth Congressional District in Michigan.
“In Congress, I’ve been a leader fighting to boost American manufacturing and create good-paying union jobs in the clean energy economy,” said Congressman Kildee. “I am honored by the BlueGreen Alliance’s endorsement and partnership to rebuild Michigan’s infrastructure, expand electric vehicle production in America and protect the Great Lakes. I will continue working to grow Michigan’s economy, and protect our environment.”
The endorsement is a recognition of the leadership of Rep. Kildee to create good-paying union jobs, fight economic and racial injustice, and reduce the emissions driving climate change. Rep. Kildee voted for several key priorities, including the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
“The BlueGreen Alliance is proud to endorse Dan Kildee for Congress,” said BlueGreen Alliance Executive Director Jason Walsh. “Our organization is founded on the belief that we don’t have to choose between good jobs and a clean environment; we can and must have both. Dan Kildee is a champion for building a clean, prosperous, and equitable future and is the best choice in the race for the Eighth Congressional District in Michigan.”
“We are excited to work alongside Dan Kildee in this election and beyond,” said Walsh.
This is the first year that the BlueGreen Alliance is endorsing candidates for Congress. Previously, the organization endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for President and Vice President of the United States in 2020—the first such endorsement in the organization’s history.
