BlueGreen Alliance Endorses Raul Grijalva
The BlueGreen Alliance, a national partnership of labor unions and environmental organizations, today announced the organization has endorsed Raul Grijalva for the Seventh Congressional District in Arizona.
“Infrastructure plays an important role in addressing the climate crisis by upgrading old infrastructure with new environmental standards and helping create millions of jobs in the new green economy of the future,” said Rep. Raul Grijalva. “This work is the core mission of the BlueGreen Alliance and I’m humbled to have received their endorsement as we work to build the 21st Century green infrastructure our communities deserve.”
The endorsement of Rep. Grijalva is a recognition of his leadership to create good-paying union jobs, fight economic and racial injustice, and reduce the emissions driving climate change. He has voted for the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to advance these priorities.
“The BlueGreen Alliance is proud to endorse Rep. Grijalva for Congress,” said BlueGreen Alliance Executive Director Jason Walsh. “Our organization is founded on the belief that we don’t have to choose between good jobs and a clean environment; we can and must have both. Rep. Grijalva is a champion for building a clean, prosperous, and equitable future and is the best choice in the race for the Seventh Congressional District in Arizona.”
“We are excited to work alongside Rep. Grijalva in this election and beyond,” said Walsh.
This is the first year that the BlueGreen Alliance is endorsing candidates for Congress. Previously, the organization endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for President and Vice President of the United States in 2020—the first such endorsement in the organization’s history.
