The BlueGreen Alliance, a national partnership of labor unions and environmental organizations, today announced the organization has endorsed Congressman Donald McEachin for the Fourth Congressional District in Virginia.

“I am so pleased and honored to have the endorsement of the BlueGreen Alliance,” said Congressman McEachin. “I appreciate every opportunity to partner with them to combat climate change, protect our environment while supporting good-paying union jobs. When I partner with the BlueGreen Alliance I know I am making a positive difference for my constituents and for all Americans.”

The endorsement is a recognition of the leadership of Congressman McEachin to create good-paying union jobs, fight economic and racial injustice, and reduce the emissions driving climate change. Congressman McEachin voted for several key priorities, including the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

“The BlueGreen Alliance is proud to endorse Congressman McEachin for Congress,” said BlueGreen Alliance Executive Director Jason Walsh. “Our organization is founded on the belief that we don’t have to choose between good jobs and a clean environment; we can and must have both. Congressman McEachin is a champion for building a clean, prosperous, and equitable future and is the best choice in the race for Fourth Congressional District in Virginia.”

This is the first year that the BlueGreen Alliance is endorsing candidates for Congress. Previously, the organization endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for President and Vice President of the United States in 2020—the first such endorsement in the organization’s history.
