The BlueGreen Alliance, a national partnership of labor unions and environmental organizations, today announced the organization has endorsed Congresswoman Susie Lee (D-NV) for the Third Congressional District in Nevada.

“It’s essential that we grow our clean energy economy to not only develop a more sustainable future for our children, but also create good-paying, union jobs across our country,” said Congresswoman Lee. “I look forward to working with BlueGreen Alliance as we take action against climate change and put our working people first.”

Congressman Lee voted for several key priorities, including the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The endorsement is a recognition of her leadership to create good-paying union jobs, fight economic and racial injustice, and reduce the emissions driving climate change.

“The BlueGreen Alliance is proud to endorse Congresswoman Lee,” said BlueGreen Alliance Executive Director Jason Walsh. “Our organization is founded on the belief that we don’t have to choose between good jobs and a clean environment—we can and must have both. Congresswoman Lee is a champion for building a clean, prosperous, and equitable future and is the best choice in the race for the Third Congressional District in Nevada.”

This is the first year that the BlueGreen Alliance is endorsing candidates for Congress. Previously, the organization endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for President and Vice President of the United States in 2020—the first such endorsement in the organization’s history.
