BlueGreen Alliance Endorses Michael Bennet
The BlueGreen Alliance, a national partnership of labor unions and environmental organizations, announced today that the organization has endorsed Michael Bennet for U.S. Senate in Colorado.
“Michael has a proven record in the Senate of pushing policies to boost wages and benefits, bring manufacturing home, and build an economy that works for everyone,” explains Bennet for Colorado spokesperson Georgina Beven. “From working to protect collective bargaining rights to advocating for policies that help workers live with dignity and respect, Michael has stood up for workers and working families and he is thankful to receive BlueGreen Alliance’s endorsement this cycle.”
The endorsement is a recognition of the leadership of Sen. Bennet to create good-paying union jobs, fight economic and racial injustice, and reduce the emissions driving climate change. Sen. Bennet voted for several key priorities, including the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
“The BlueGreen Alliance is proud to endorse Sen. Bennet,” said BlueGreen Alliance Executive Director Jason Walsh. “Our organization is founded on the belief that we don’t have to choose between good jobs and a clean environment—we can and must have both. Sen. Bennet is a champion for building a clean, prosperous, and equitable future and is the best choice in the race for U.S. Senate in Colorado.”
“We are excited to work alongside Sen. Bennet in this election and beyond,” said Walsh.
This is the first year that the BlueGreen Alliance is endorsing candidates for Congress. Previously, the organization endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for President and Vice President of the United States in 2020—the first such endorsement in the organization’s history.
