The House of Representatives today passed a $3.5 billion budget framework, mirroring action by the Senate in recent weeks. Following the vote, the BlueGreen Alliance released a statement from Vice President of Legislation & Federal Affairs Jessica Eckdish:

“This budget sets the stage to truly build back better. The $3.5 billion budget framework will be used to make investments to retool and rebuild American manufacturing, fill gaps left in the bipartisan infrastructure bill, grow clean energy and energy efficiency, and invest in the care economy.

“We need Congress to deliver for workers and the environment by making the budget framework a reality and putting it on the president’s desk so we can get to work building the economy of the future—one with good-paying jobs, that lifts up struggling communities, and builds a more equitable country for all.”
