“As Labor Secretary, Hilda Solis has been a tireless advocate implementing worker training programs, reducing worker fatalities and fighting for better regulations and working conditions that have benefited working families across the country. She fought especially hard to create and sustain green jobs, a commitment that dates back to her career in Congress, and supported and implemented important green jobs training programs.

“While leading the Department of Labor, she has brought labor issues to the forefront of the national dialogue. We thank her for elevating these important labor issues that benefit Americans’ quality of life beyond the workplace and wish her the best for her next endeavor.”
