WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 30, 2012) In advance of the holiday weekend, the BlueGreen Alliance today released a graphical representation of clean economy jobs around the United States, calling on the public to celebrate clean tech around the country this Labor Day. The BlueGreen Alliance—a national partnership of labor unions and environmental organizations—highlighted business and their workers from California, Colorado, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
“Across America, workers and entrepreneurs are building a better future for all of us—focused on renewable energy, cleaner, more efficient transportation, advanced manufacturing and other pivotal sectors to America’s economic success,” said David Foster, the Executive Director of the BlueGreen Alliance. “This Labor Day, we’re asking people to take a moment to thank those working in these industries for the contribution they are making to our economy, as well as our environment.”
