BlueGreen Alliance Statement on Obama Administration Investigation into China’s Trade Practices in Green Technologies
After the USTR announced they would initiate an investigation into China's acts, policies and practices affecting green technologies, the BlueGreen Alliance said this move underscores the urgency of moving toward a clean energy infrastructure.
WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 15, 2010) After U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk announced today that the U.S. would initiate an investigation into China’s acts, policies and practices affecting trade and investment in green technologies, the BlueGreen Alliance released the following statement from Executive Director David Foster:
“Today’s decision by the Obama administration demonstrates the urgency of moving forward with policies that will jumpstart the development of a clean energy infrastructure and position the United States as a global leader in the production of those clean energy technologies – creating good jobs in the process.
“It’s time to move forward, it’s time to jumpstart America’s clean energy economy, and it’s time to start creating clean energy jobs here at home.”
